How do I insert the SIM card into my phone?

  1. Turn off your phone.
  2. Remove the SIM card from your phone.
  3. Remove the universal Digicel SIM from the card holder.
  4. Select the SIM compatible with your phone (regular, micro, or nano).
  5. Place the Digicel SIM card into your phone.
  6. Turn the device back on.
SIM card placement varies by handset. For additional assistance, contact your provider.

How do I activate and register my SIM - iOS?

  1. Dial *120#.
  2. Go to settings.
  3. Select CELLULAR.
  4. Select CELLULAR DATA OPTIONS.
  5. Select CELLULAR NETWORK (if this option is blocked by the carrier the SIM card cannot be used).
  6. Insert the following under the 'Cellular Data' section:
    • APN: Web
  7. Save changes.
  8. Go back to CELLULAR.
  9. Click ROAMING.
  10. Enable VOICE ROAMING and DATA ROAMING.
  11. Save changes.
  12. Restart device.

How do I activate and register my SIM - Android? (Note: Similar steps can be followed for Windows phones)

  1. Dial *120#.
  2. Go to settings.
  3. Select CONNECTIONS.
  4. Select MOBILE NETWORKS.
  5. Select ACCESS POINT NAMES.
  6. Create a new APN (press “+”, ADD, or MORE).
  7. Insert the following:
    • Name: Digicel
    • APN: Web
  8. Save changes.
  9. Select the new APN.
  10. Go back to MOBILE NETWORKS.
  11. Enable DATA ROAMING.
  12. Restart device.

What is a GSM #?

This is what Americans would consider the phone #. This number will be found on the SIM card packaging. Please be sure to save this number in a safe place, as it's the only way to reload your SIM card.

How do I check my balance?

To check your balance, dial *122*53# and hit call from your handset once your SIM card is inserted. You will receive an SMS with all balance details. Balance notifications can only be received when in Cuba.

Can I buy multiple plans?

Yes you can! Every plan purchased extends the duration of ALL plan contents (new + existing) for another 30 days. For instance: If you have a 100 MB plan and only use 25 MB, then purchase another 100 MB plan, you will have 175 MB for 30 additional days. Please note: The maximum allowance at one time on a SIM card is capped at 1.5 GB and 120 minutes. This is equivalent to three 500 MB + 40 minute plans. Any attempt to activate additional plans above this threshold will not be successful.

What is the coverage area?

Digicel Cuba Roaming offers customers 3G connectivity in the 15 provinces and main tourist areas such as resorts and beaches.

What is the data speed?

Digicel Cuba Roaming operates on the fast, dedicated, tourist-only 3G mobile network.

Are there any limitations?

You must have an unlocked device in order to use this SIM card.

How long is the SIM expiry?

SIMs will remain active for 60 days from the date they are first activated upon arrival in Cuba. Each recharge will extend the SIM expiry for an additional 30 days from the date the recharge was purchased.

How long does processing and shipping take?

All orders will be processed by Amazon. Please check with Amazon for shipping and delivery dates.

What is your return policy?

SIM cards must be returned unused to the address noted on the shipment. All plan purchases are considered final. SIM cards purchased on Amazon must be returned directly to Amazon.

What payment methods are accepted on the website?

We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover branded credit / debit cards. In Cayman Islands & Turks and Caicos, we only accept Visa and Mastercard. All payments are processed in USD.

Who will be processing my payment?

Payments are processed by Digicel Cayman Ltd., located at Cayman Technology Center, 115 Printer Way, George Town, Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands, KY1-1001.

Who do I contact to resolve issues?

To resolve any issues, you may contact our team at 407-499-2822, or complete the contact form by clicking here. When roaming in Cuba, the SIM card must be activated (*120#) to call this number. DigicelCubaRoaming.com will not be available until the APN setup is completed.

Is my email address and credit card safe?

Digicel does not share customer information with third parties. We will only use your email address to share online offers and other important information. Customers are free to opt-out from receiving correspondence at any time. All information is transmitted via SSL - Secure Socket Layer protocols to keep your information safe.
